During its oscillating expansion Xiphosura’s colors change from shades of red to blue. Its main body is made up of diamond shaped segments.
Xiphosura
In old age it branches out and forms crustacean like structures on its periphery. These structures are visually similar to the ancient horseshoe crab, hence the name “Xiphosura”.
